Daily Assignments: There will be a variety of daily assignments. Late assignments will receive half credit. Assignments are 20% of the grade.

Make up work: If you are absent (excused), it is your responsibility to get the assignment from a class member or me. If you need assistance, see me before or after school.

Class Notes: Class notes are your responsibility. They will include mathematical rules, definitions, procedures, and examples. They are your guides in the completion of homework practice assignments and preparing for quizzes and exams. All class notes will be kept in a notebook.

Vocabulary and Spelling: You are responsible for the meaning and spelling of any term used in class or in your textbook. Once a term has been used in class, you are responsible for it for the entire year. Subtraction of points will be given for the misuse and misspelling of vocabulary terms on all quizzes and exams.

Quizzes and Exams: Quizzes will be given several times during each week and are comprehensive. Quizzes are 20% of your grade. Exams will be given twice during each six week grading period. Exams are also comprehensive. They are 40% of your grade. All quizzes and exams will be kept in your math notebook.

Math Notebook: It will contain all of your class notes, assignments, quizzes, and exams for each quarter. This notebook is 10% of your grade.

Work habits: Each student is responsible for his/her behavior in class. Disruptive behavior that interrupts or impairs the education of others will not be tolerated. All students will begin each grading term with an A. Grades will be adjusted depending on the number and severity of disruptions during each grading term. Incomplete assignments and homework not turned in will also be used to determine the grade in this category. The work habit grade is 10% of your grade.
