I love bats! They are truly amazing creatures, and I have made them a special research project of mine. I constantly seek new information concerning bats and collect bat items for my classroom. I also incorporate bat information in my math curriculum. As one of my students, you will learn wild and wacky information about the world's only flying mammal!
Other interests of mine include quilting, reading books, hiking, fishing and snowshoeing. I quilt mainly in the summer. I am fascinated with quilting because of the math involved in the design and construction of the various patterns. Reading is another of my passions. If I can't read books then I listen to them as I travel. I love to read or listen to new phrases, thoughts and ideas. Hiking and snowshoeing fulfill my adventurous nature. I intentionally hike and showshoe off trail in hopes that I will be granted the opportunity to see sights and animals not often viewed by others. Fishing is my last love. I am a 'catch and release' fisherman. I fly fish and use bait; however, this doesn't include squishing worms on a hook!
